Stiff Neck Pain

Wake up in the morning and "ouch".  Neck is stiff and hurts when trying to get off your bed!  Having trouble turning your head left or right.  What a bad morning to begin with a stiff neck pain.  I had suffer from many stiff neck pain and actually I have one right now!

Here are some simple neck exercise you can do to lessen the stiff neck pain.

This simple neck excercise can be done either sitting or standing up.  I find myself having better results when i'm doing them standing up.  This excercise should lessen your stiff neck pain abit.
  1. Head straight at center, inhale and then slowly turn your head to the right as far as you can go and hold for 10 seconds.  Don't move any other parts of your body.  Only move your head.
  2. Now slowly return your head back to the center and exhale while you are doing that.
  3. Inhale and slowly turn your head to the left as far as you can and hold for 10 seconds.
  4. Exhale while you slowly turn your head back to the center.
Do a set of 10, and it should lessen the stiff neck pain and stiffness of your neck.

Review On The McKenzie Cervical Roll

The Original McKenzie Cervical Roll Neck Support #703The Mckenzie Cervical Roll cost around $15.00 USD.  When used correctly, it can help prevent the recurrence of pain.  The cervical roll neck support provides necessary support to the cervical structure and maintain a natural cure. This product is made of low density foam with a removable light blue poly cotton washable cover.  The size is 3 1/2" diameter and 20" long.

I just received this product by mail today.  To my suprise it is alot softer then I imaged it.  This was a replacement to the rolled up towel I been using for the past week because recently I had a stiff neck.  Before I purchase this item I also purchase the Arc4Life Cervical Neck Traction Pillow.  I like the cervical roll neck support better.  It felt alot more comfortable then the cervical neck traction pillow.  It's alot softer, but for those who think they might want more support for the neck they might want to consider the neck traction pillow.

I slept with the cervical roll neck support for roughly 2 hours tonight.  I woke up with less stiffness and less pain then when I went to bed.  Usually when I have a stiff neck, after waking up I would have more stiffness then I orginally did when I went to bed.  To my suprise the cervical roll neck support gave me comfort when I woke up.  I just wished that I could had slept longer.  I probably woke up because I'm not really use to sleeping on the neck roll yet.  When I slept on the traction pillow, I wake up in 2 hours, too.  But the traction pillow didn't feel as comfortable as the neck roll.  Although this neck roll cost only around $15.00 USD, in the long run it will actually cost more then an actual neck pillow.  It will probably need to be replace every few months to retain it's shape.  I would say the McKenzie Cervical Roll Neck Support is worth the try for those who are suffering from stiff neck and pain.  Also I had better results then using a rolled up towel.  The rolled up towel is actually more firm then this product.  When I first test it the roll up towel felt more comfortable beneath my neck.  But I would wake up with minor neck pain or soreness when I used the rolled up towel.  I will probably purchase another McKenzie Cervical Roll Neck Support to use at my sister house since I go there every weekend.

Actually I was quit suprise that it actually work for me.  When I first took out this product from the box I thought it was a joke.  It was so soft, and it look cheap.  I unzip the zipper and look at the foam.  It just felt like it would not work.  So it really suprise me that this product actually work for me.  So far I'm very pleased with the results of this product.  It's hard to find a neck pillow that you are pleased with.  I hope this review will help some of you out there and hope the McKenzie Cervical Roll Neck Support will give you the same lovely results as it did for me.

The Orignal McKenzie Cervical Roll

I received The Orignal McKenzie Cervical Roll for neck support today, to my suprise it is alot softer then I thought it was.  Not sure if you can tell how soft it is from the pictures I uploaded.  I compared with my rolled up towel on the 2nd picture.  The cervical neck roll seems to be alot softer then my rolled up towel.

I placed it inside my pillowcase and tried testing on it for a few minutes earlier when it arrived.  So far it seems alright.  Tonight I will try to sleep with it.  I will update on this product.

Cervical Roll Neck Support

The Original McKenzie Cervical Roll Neck Support cost around $15.00 USD.  This is use with your regular pillow.  Put the cervical roll neck support into your pillowcase.  The cervical roll is place between your pillowcase and pillow.  This will give support to your neck.

I just recently purchase this, but have not receive the item yet to test it.  It is going to replace the rolled up towel I have been using in my pillowcase for the pass week.  The towel did not give me great results yet, I am still getting minor stiff neck and shoulder pain when I wake up.  Comparing to using nothing, this is much better.  If i'm using the pillow alone, I get intense pain in my neck and shoulder.  I'm replacing it because the towel gets squished in the middle of the night.  The rolled up towel I been using is only 3" in width.  This cervical roll neck support is 3 1/2".  That is one thing I'm worrying about.

The cervical roll neck support seems to be cheap, but in the long run it might get expensive.  I saw reviews where they said the cervical roll neck support works for them, but they have to replace it within a few months.  Because the cervical roll neck support gets out of shape.  I would not mind if this really helps though.  I will update with the results after I received the product.

Cervical Neck Pillow Review

Arc4life Cervical Linear Traction Neck pillow cost around $66.00 USD is especially designed to stop neck stiffness and muscle pain.  The V shape is designed to lightly traction your neck while you sleep.  The opposite side of the V shape is the support side.  You can sleep on either side.  This pillow is also design for back and side sleeper.  Along the side of the V shape is where you would sleep on your side.

I just purchased this cervical neck pillow for 1 week.  If you are not a back sleepy and cannot stay on your back, I do not think you should purchase this pillow.  The V design keeps your head in place sleeping on your back.  The side did not do any supporting for my neck, it felt like a regular pillow to me.

The instructions advise you to sleep with this cervical neck pillow for only 30 minutes the first night, and to sleep on the support side so you can get use to it.  The support side just felt like my regular pillow, it did not seem to support my neck and slowly my shoulder pain was coming back.  I tried testing on the traction side, the 1st minute was alright.  I felt the support needed for my neck.  But as I stayed on longer, my neck and back begin to hurt and end up with a terrible headache.  I was only on this cervical neck pillow for less then 10 minutes and can not stand it. I immediatly stopped using it and switched back to my regular pillow with a rolled towel.

After trying for a week, the cervical neck pillow seem to help a bit.  I get less pain on my neck and shoulder, also I can easily get off my bed without intense pain.  I've been switching back and forth with a rolled up towel on my regular pillow.  So far the cervical neck pillow and the roll up towel seem to work the same way.  I mean both not any better or any worst.  I been also only using the rolled up towel with my regular pillow for a week now as well.  I could not go to sleep with my normal pillow with out the towel.  I felt my head, and neck was sinking down to my pillow and my neck and back shoulder was in acute pain.

Cervical Neck Pillow

I tried many cervical neck pillow either to try to lessen the pain I have during that time, or try to prevent a stiff neck from coming back.  So far I have not found a cervical neck pillow that does the job for me.

Right now I'm suffering from stiff neck, it's been 1 1/2 weeks and it's not gone yet.  I just pay a visit to my doctor and he just gave me a prescription for Lidocaine Ointment which is just a pain reliever.

The first few days of my stiff neck I was suffering with major pain especially when I wake up.  I would wake up every 2 hours because it was too painful.  I went online and purchase this cervical neck pillow.

There were many good reviews on this cervical neck pillow.  It also did say it will not cure your neck pain right away.  Have to get use to the cervical neck pillow first and adapt to it.

This cervical neck pillow did somewhat helped but not completely.  But I can not really say for now, it's been only a week since I purchased this cervical neck pillow.  I will update you with my review on this cervical neck pillow.
